Antiscalant

Antiscalant is a chemical that is used in water treatment to prevent scaling and mineral buildup on the surface of Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes. It is added to the feed water before it enters the membrane to minimize the potential of the scale that deposits on the surface of an RO membrane. Antiscalants are also known as scale inhibitor agents and are used to avoid scaling by salts like silica, iron, barium sulfate, calcium carbonate, and gypsum. The concentration of these mineral compounds in water depends on the source of feed water
